This organic washed Bolivian coffee is the perfect brew on a wintry day with aromatic notes of orange, a rich chocolatey body and a finish of plum - it is balanced and smooth. We think this coffee is served best as espresso or espresso based drinks, but if you like a slightly darker, rich filter then this Bolivian will definitely be up your street! It's the perfect stocking filler for any coffee lover.
Wilma Choque carefully cultivates this Catuai varietal on her farm, Finca Wilma. Wilma is from the Andean region of Bolivia and has over 10 years experience in growing speciality coffee. We think the care Wilma takes when growing her beans comes through in the delicious cup profile of this coffee and also makes it a delight to roast. Wilma works alongside the San Juan Coffee Cooperative that process the beans.
The coffee cherries are picked at their optimum ripeness to avoid any over or underripe beans. They are then sent to San Juan for processing. The cherries' pulp is mechanically removed using water and the beans are then left to dry on raised beds. Once dried the beans are hulled and bagged, ready for shipping.
We think the meticulous growing, processing and roasting of this speciality Bolivian lot shines through in the resulting coffee.
