Luvia Felisa is the heart and soul behind Finca El Faldón, a charming coffee farm located just 30 kilometres from Palencia's capital. Named in honour of her grandfather, Luvia runs the farm alongside her husband, Juan Jose, and they’ve transformed it into a haven for specialty coffee.

Luvia’s passion for high-quality coffee has completely reshaped their farming practices, motivating her to take meticulous care over all aspects, from fertilization to harvesting, achieving high quality, sustainable coffee. She took charge of the farm while Juan was working overseas and dove headfirst into every aspect of the operation—overseeing activities, hiring staff, and connecting with buyers. With Juan back by her side, they’re constantly innovating and improving their methods.

Five years ago, coffee wasn’t the main crop here—tomatoes, corn, and beans also had their place. But Luvia saw the potential in coffee and fell head over heels for it. Now, it’s the star of the show, proving to be both sustainable and profitable.

The cherries are grown under shade trees and once they have reached their optimal ripeness, they are picked. The cherries are washed to remove the outer pulp and are sun-dried on patios for 8 days until they have reached the desired moisture level. Luvia's meticulous processing is key to achieving that exceptional quality in your cup, and we truly believe it makes all the difference.
