We’re really excited to introduce our new house Brazil, sourced through new import partners, Bossa Coffee Co, a women-led Brazilian specialty coffee importer based in London.

Bossa tick a whole host of boxes that we look for in a relationship; They’re women-led, origin focused and source truly stunning coffees.

The founders, Bruna and Emma are also long-time friends of James, our coffee manager, which makes this partnership feel especially close to home. Together, they’re helping us source Brazilian coffees that are thoughtful, traceable, and full of character.

This naturally processed red catuai comes from Chácara Santo Antônio, a farm owned by Bruna’s mother, Andrea Costa, alongside her brother Luis. The farm sits on the outskirts of Pinhal at elevations between 800–1,100 metres above sea level, surrounded by a mix of open farmland and dense forest. The region is known for its fertile volcanic soils, which provide an ideal foundation for growing coffee with depth and sweetness.

Beyond coffee, the farm is home to a wildlife reserve and is teeming with wildlife, including wolves, jaguars and exotic birdlife such as Toucans and Red-legged Seriemas — curious, emu-like birds that thrive in coffee and forest environments and help keep snake populations in check. The many ponds scattered across the farm are also home to plenty of friendly waterfowl, adding to the sense that this is a place where agriculture and nature comfortably coexist.
