ETHIOPIA: Hafursa Waro - YIRGACHEFFE - 100% Arabica

£7.95

  • Ethiopian coffee is rarely off the menu at Rinaldo's. We've just received another Bobby Dazzler, this time from the ever-popular YIRGACHEFFE region, which has an impressive score of 90 on the cupping table. Typical of this country's coffee, it's a vibrant and floral bean that's beautifully balanced.

I'm a huge fan of Ethiopian coffee and this subtle and super-tangy bean is delightful as a pour-over. I love it. But why don't you try it with you preferred brew method and let us know what you think - we'll give you a gift for any review you leave on this web page.

Tasting notes: Black tea, lemon, blueberry

Ethiopian coffees can be a real crowd-pleaser, and we set out to find a green coffee that had all the classic flavours you might expect and are delighted to bring you this coffee grown by Kebede Gedu and family at 1,900m above sea level, processed at the Hafursa Waro washing station in the Yirgacheffe region.

Apart from the fantastic flavour, the other exceptional aspect is that this is a Single Farmer Lot, which is a real rarity for Ethiopian coffee. Due to the way coffee is handled in Ethiopia, it has not been possible to get the level of traceability to track a micro-lot back to one particular farmer – and we’re very lucky to have a sizeable chunk of the Gedu family’s harvest to offer to you.

We’ve created a fantastic filter roast, and an espresso roast recipe as well, both of which allow you to enjoy this beautifully well balanced fully washed classic Yirgacheffe coffee: Sweet black tea, floral, silky and fresh with lemon zest and blueberry aroma.
