Dr. Caffeinestein's laboratory
One of the things we've enjoyed most about working with speciality coffee and loose-leaf teas is developing our palates. It's one of the those simple processes where you can honestly say that you learn something new everyday and there's still so much to explore.
If you really want to improve your sensory understanding of speciality coffee, then we'd be delighted to help you. From time to time we'll be running small, informal cupping workshops at the roastery, where you can go through the whole process of cupping - from grinding to slurping and scoring each coffee. We'll focus on the coffee's aroma, body, acidity, balance, sweetness, flavour, mouthfeel, uniformity etc. You might be a natural.
We'll be running tea-tasting sessions too, where you can learn more about fine loose-leaf and have a taste extravaganza.
All sessions will include some food and perhaps a cheeky drink to ... erm ... help enhance the finer flavours of our coffees and teas.
Stay posted for dates and prices.
If you'd like individual sessions or your own small group, just contact us and we'll arrange a time to suit.
