Here at Rinaldo's we're big fans of Peruvian coffee. We've had some beauts in past years and the latest offering on our list is right up there with the best of them. Highlighting classic South American nutty notes this microlot has bright apple and cinnamon high notes allowing for a complex coffee.
Finca El Faique is a 2.5 hectare farm in the Huabal region, which was recognised at the 'best of Cajamarca' auction. This coffee is a microlot which allows for a very level of personal attention and great quality control. It's a fabulous all-rounder, encompassing brewing methods from the humble cafetiere to a mean espresso.
Asdruval Dominguez, the farm owner, ensures the picked beans are washed and sun-dried this coffee on raised beds, to provide a clean and sweet taste.
This coffee is fully Rainforest Alliance and UTZ certified.

The Producers
The owner of the farm, Asdruval Dominguez initially worked at the Santa Rosa farm, after growing up in Huabal, Cajamarca – Santa Rosa being the biggest co-operative in the area. At Santa Rosa he met his wife and now they have four children together, all of them working for their father in the coffee business.
Asdruval has for the most part, worked his coffee crop in a very traditional way – picking his cherries by hand and then sorting through them for only the ripe cherries, as it good practice in coffee farming. He usually follows this up by wet milling (washing) his coffee and then leaving it to dry on raised beds in the sun.
His farm is only 2.5 hectares in size, which allows the Dominguez family to focus on the most important aspects of growing and processing their coffee, with an eagle eye – resulting in high quality and incredible coffee.
